
OUR CLASSES

CLASS LEVEL I
Level 1 will introduce you to A.C.T.’s many proven breakaway techniques. These techniques are designed to empower you to escape from unwanted touching or grabs. You will work with our trained and certified professionals to assure your full understanding in the following:

Basic theory of foundation and techniques

Proper stances
-
Breathing techniques
-
Concepts behind the releases
-
Dispelling myths about “old school” self-defense techniques
-
Backwards thinking
-
Circle "gator rolls"
-
Release techniques from grabs of the wrist, arm, shoulder, neck and hair
-
Major striking techniques specifically designed for the untrained fighter, utilizing specific pressure points

CLASS LEVEL II
Level 2 will review what you learned in Level 1, and focus on escaping from an assailant when you are on the ground. You will learn defense and escape from back grabs, dropping to the ground and utilizing defense techniques while on the ground. (Padded floor mats will be utilized.)

Review of Level 1 standing techniques

Escape techniques from bear hugs (front and back)

How to get into a protective ground defense position

Being pinned to the floor and/or mounted, or your hands being restrained

Gator rolls
-
"Cobra" ground defense

Other techniques designed to defend yourself while on the ground
Note: you must have taken Class Level I to participate in this class.

CLASS LEVEL III
Level 3 will combine previous class lessons into multiple attack techniques, allowing you to stun your attacker and make your escape.

Review of upright and ground techniques from Level 1 & 2

Securing your attacker

Grip release with striking combinations

Adapting Level 1 & 2 skills into multiple attack techniques

Advanced release technique applications

Striking back utilizing specific pressure point targets for massive effect
Note: you must have taken Class Levels I and II to participate in this class.

CLASS LEVEL IV
Level 4 classes deal with specific scenarios for various careers that involve working with populations who may be dangerous or may require a defensive nature. These include but are not limited to parole officers, sheriffs, police, para-military, pilots, teachers, nurses, caregivers, or social workers. All class participants will be evaluated for current skill levels and purpose for training and utilization. Level 4 classes are scheduled by request only.
